With a background as a theatre director, I moved into education in 2003 and haven't looked back since! My Degree is in Experimental Psychology from Oxford but I have also taught Politics and PSHE and have a particular passion for both debating and the future impact and potential of AI.

It is an honour to be part of The Ladies’ College. I have always wanted to teach, so following my degree in Biochemistry from the University of St Andrews, I began my teaching career and have never felt happier. I’ve taught in a range of schools, both state and independent, selective and comprehensive, single sex and co-educational, holding a wide range of leadership roles, including Acting Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Head of Science and Lead Practitioner. In every role, my passion has been to make sure every child receives the best possible learning experience both inside and outside of the classroom. I believe education is all about empowering children to achieve success and happiness in an ever-changing world. Now that my five children have grown up and scattered across the globe, my time is taken up with my two lovable Labradors. I’m happiest out in the countryside walking my dogs and watching the wildlife, getting wet and windswept!

I have a passion for excellence in girls' education, and come to work to help create curious, innovative, creative and happy minds. Working with the Future Ready Skills team and on Sixth Form Pathways, it is a joy to prepare students for the wider world beyond College.

I have spent over 20 years working in schools, championing young people to overcome barriers and let their individuality shine. With a background in maths, sports science, and a specialism in SEND and inclusion, I've been lucky to work alongside brilliant teachers and staff. I love all sports (especially rugby), being outdoors, cycling, reading, and laughing with my family — preferably somewhere windy, muddy, and full of chaos!

After ten years in business, I followed my true vocation and undertook my PGCE at the University of Oxford. I moved to Guernsey in 2014 after having taught in Somerset for eight years, and look to bring enthusiasm, passion and creativity into the classroom, with the understanding of the importance that education plays in developing confidence in young people and enabling them to grow as individuals.
