Examinations

Here you will find all essential information regarding examinations at The Ladies' College.

Parents and students can find key dates for upcoming exams and results, details about examination boards, and clear answers to frequently asked questions.

Examination Boards

Students will be entered for the following GCSE and A-level Subjects in Summer 2025:

Key Dates for Examinations & Results

The examinations will run on the following dates:

  • Remove to Upper Four examinations are from Thursday 15 May to Tuesday 20 May 2025
  • Lower Five examinations are from Thursday 15 May to Wednesday 21 May 2025
  • Lower Sixth examinations are from Wednesday 14 May to Friday 23 May 2025 

The Internal Examination Timetables have been given to students.

The GCSE and A-level examinations will run from Thursday 8 May to Monday 23 June 2025. 

All students will attend a briefing in January 2025 and be given their confirmation of entries and their individual timetables.

Students will also need to be available for the examination contingency days which are designed to be used in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations.

The dates are afternoons of 11 June 2025 and the day of 25 June 2025.

GCE A-level results will be published on Thursday 14 August 2025 and available for collection at 08.30. 

GCSE results will be published on Thursday 21 August 2025 and available for collection at 09.00. 

Refreshments will be available in the Core for you and your parents on these dates.

Important Notes for Candidates
  • A Level students: Submit your completed form and payment to the college where you took the exam. 

  • (i)GCSE students: Discuss potential service requests with teachers upon your return in September. 

  • We encourage early discussions with teachers regarding potential enquiries. 

  • A detailed explanation of these services and the request form are included in your results envelope.
