Examinations

Here you will find all essential information regarding examinations at The Ladies' College.

Parents and students can find key dates for upcoming exams and results, details about examination boards, and clear answers to frequently asked questions.

Examination Boards

Students will be entered for the following GCSE and A-level Subjects in Summer 2025:

Key Dates for Examinations & Results

The examinations will run on the following dates:

  • Remove to Upper Four examinations are from 15 May to 20 May 2026
  • Lower Five examinations are from 15 May to 20 May 2026
  • Lower Sixth examinations are from 12 May to 21 May 2026

The Internal Examination Timetables have been given to students.

iGCSE Maths Foundation will happen on 5 and 7 November 2025 

The GCSE examinations will run from 8 May to 17 June 2026.
 

The A-level examinations will run from 11 May to 23 June 2026. 

All students will attend a briefing in January 2026 and be given their confirmation of entries and their individual timetables.

Students will also need to be available for the examination contingency days which are designed to be used in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations.

Dates - Wednesday 24 June 2026 (Morning and Afternoon sessions)

GCE A-level results will be published on Thursday 13 August 2026 and available for collection at 08.30. 

GCSE results will be published on Thursday 20 August 2026 and available for collection at 09.00. 

Refreshments will be available in the Core for you and your parents on these dates.

Important Notes for Candidates
  • A Level students: Submit your completed form and payment to the college where you took the exam. 

  • (i)GCSE students: Discuss potential service requests with teachers upon your return in September. 

  • We encourage early discussions with teachers regarding potential enquiries. 

  • A detailed explanation of these services and the request form are included in your results envelope.
