A deeper dive into our Senior School
Our academic record continues to be outstanding
Often ranked in the top 100 schools in the UK, 97% of our GCSE results were graded 9 - 4, with 43% achieving top grades of 9/8 (equivalent to A*).
Our students consistently exceed expectations, reflecting their strong work ethic and the exceptional support provided by conscientious and talented teachers.

Our girls are more than just a set of results
Here they discover the best of themselves. Our school is bursting with talent both in and out of the classroom. Our co-curricular activities provide further opportunity for personal achievement and here, they will make the friends they keep for life.

Pastoral Care - Supporting every student
We believe well-being is foundational to success. Our experienced teachers are passionate about ensuring each student feels happy, supported, and inspired. The ISI Inspection rated our pastoral care provision as ‘excellent’, noting our robust systems, outstanding behaviour, and open, empathetic relationships throughout the College.

"Pupils at The Ladies' College receive exceptional guidance and care through the lattice of form tutors, house staff and year coordinators.
As a result, pupils' behaviour, both to each other and to adults, is outstanding, and personal relationships across the school are open, honest and empathetic.
Form tutors and year coordinators are key conduits for the provision of support for individual pupils."

The House System
Our vibrant House system significantly enriches school life, allowing students from different year groups to collaborate and form lasting friendships through diverse competitions, challenges, and events. The Houses, entirely student-led, offer ample opportunities for leadership development, resilience-building, and effective communication as well as good old-fashioned fun!
Inter-house competitions are designed to be inclusive and girls enthusiastically get involved whatever their interests and strengths. They may write a poem for Creative Writing, dress up as a cow in House Drama or showcase their dance or music talent in the end of term competitions. The House events are much loved by the girls and are contested with good-natured competitiveness, enthusiasm and a sense of joy.
Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship, and Economic Education (PSHCE)
Our PSHCE curriculum equips students with essential skills, attitudes, and knowledge to navigate life confidently. Grounded in integrity, bravery, and kindness, students learn to foster positive relationships, maintain health and well-being, appreciate British Values, and effectively prepare for their future careers. The curriculum follows guidelines from the PSHE Association and statutory RSE requirements, covering health, relationships, and living in the wider world.

Learning Support
We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Our Learning Support Department, led by Nicola Ingrouille, provides a comprehensive and inclusive approach to supporting students with a wide range of learning needs.
Mrs Ingrouille is supported by a dedicated team of professionals with expertise across various areas of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), offering continuity of care and support from Pre-School (age 2) through to Sixth Form (age 18).
