The pupils of our Junior School, Melrose have raised an incredible £3,800 from their efforts at the Skipton Swimarathon. The girls, aged 2-11 years, took over Beau Sejour’s learner and main pools for a full hour of swimming in aid of good causes. The main beneficiaries of this year’s event are the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation and the Citizen’s Advice Guernsey.
The girls swam in lanes split by year groups and the school’s four houses: Brock, Carey, de Sausmarez and Durand. They showed great resilience and teamwork, encouraging each other throughout and having great fun. Teachers were on hand to support the students, and Mr Lewis even swam a length for each house too!
We would like to thank everyone who came along to help and watch, including staff at the leisure centre and the event organisers.
