Sarah was born in Kenya but her family returned to the Island when she was five years old. After attending Cordier Hill, Melrose and The Ladies' College, Sarah went on to read Geography at Newnham College, Cambridge.
The travelling bug was still too strong to stay put. She then lived and worked in Australia and Japan for twelve years before returning to Guernsey after completing her PGCE at Exeter University. Having taught at Vauvert, Castel and Hautes Capelles Primary Schools, and a short stint pursuing a personal challenge of rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, Sarah has now returned to Melrose - just 40 years after she was last there!
Sarah has always had a great love of Mathematics and thoroughly enjoys leading this subject at Melrose. She is hoping to nurture a love of the subject and encourage positive attitudes especially to problem solving!
