Zoe Ellis began teaching in 2003 after graduating from the University of Southampton and the University of Bath. A Guernsey girl at heart, Zoe moved back to the island in 2007 and became Head of English at The Ladies' College in 2008. Zoe is passionate about English and particularly loves the unique and original ideas which can arise from class discussion relating to classic literary texts.

Sophie Appelqvist began teaching in the UK in 2009; however, she quickly returned home and has enjoyed teaching locally ever since. During her career, her passion for teaching has led to her delivering teaching and learning training both locally and at national conferences. She currently writes for NATE (National Association of Teachers of English) magazine. Sophie’s great love lies within nineteenth-century literature and she is an ardent fan of Charles Dickens and the Brontë sisters.
