Top tips for Science
- Do experiments at home
- A good scientist asks questions
- If the experiment goes wrong, don't give up. Many significant discoveries have come from experiments that have 'gone wrong'.
- Teach the family what you have been taught e.g. Grandad, Auntie, your brother or the dog.
- There is science in everyday life. Find it and appreciate it.
- Don't accept what you read in the media without thinking about the science involved.
- Don't be afraid to ask for help.
- The best way to revise science is to practise answering questions
- Identify command words in questions such as state, explain, describe before answering the question.
- Always show your working when doing calculations or when finding information from graphs and don't forget to include units.
