On Saturday morning our students with other students on the Island interested in a career in the creative industries, had the opportunity to listen to key speakers in their successful careers of architectural design, graphic design, web design, games design, film production, commercial photography, media and PR.
The aim of the workshop was to make students aware of the many options open to them in working in the creative industries.
Many thanks to the speakers who gave up their Saturday to speak to us all and to Karl Taylor who hosted the workshop at his new state of the art photography studio; that was a real privilege.
Many thanks also to all those from the Creative Industries Guernsey (CIG) who organized the event.
The Saturday workshop continues at Elizabeth College. The girls' printmaking skills are developing nicely.
All those involved did a fine job painting and preparing their boards with the artist and leader of the workshop, Hugh Rose.
More news to follow as the mural develops in the next few weeks. It's going to look great!
