On Saturday Melrose held its annual Melrose PTA Christmas Fair.
As ever it was full of fun and laughter with all the girls and parents working hard together to create amazing games and puzzles for all to have a go at. There was a nail parlour for those wishing some Christmas pampering, a real live fruit machine, pin the nose on Rudolph, bulls eye games and many, many more. Lovely refreshments were available from Mrs Claus Café, a welcome respite from the hustle bustle of the hall. We were entertained by Mrs Travers buskers and Mrs Anthony led her choir in beautiful singing. We could not forget our "Special" visitor who was flanked by lovely elves, we are sure all those who went to visit him were able to tell him that they had been very good.
At the end, Mr Bracegirdle thanked Mrs Spurrier for all she had done to support Melrose and the PTA presenting her with a lovely book full of memories from the girls and a generous gift. Mrs Spurrier was deeply moved by the kindness of all the parents and girls.
