The Ladies’ College Upper Five (Year 11) students have been a terrific year group who have excelled both inside and outside the classroom. We are delighted that their results follow on from the success of our students who did so well at A-Level last week.
Our 55 students deserves to be congratulated, as they have worked hard, both individually and collaboratively with their teachers, to ensure they can say they have achieved their best.
Once again, 100% of our students achieved five A* to C grades, including English and Mathematics. 36.2% of our GCSE grades were A*, an increase of 1.9%. 68.5% of grades were A*/A and 89.6% A* to B. These grades are testimony to the hard–working attitude of students and teachers at College and each and every student should be proud of what they have achieved.
We are delighted that the girls have achieved this academic success, whilst also demonstrating their interest, engagement, and commitment to a wide range of activities both in and out of the College.
Fern Despres, Sophie Le Feuvre, Victoria Mann and Caitlin Walker gained A* in all examinations and Louise Burwood, Ruby Davison, Bronwyn James, Sophie Le Page, Klara Lee, Emma Mills, Bella Ogier, Emily Oliver, Charlotte Perry, Enya Rabey, Amy Sharpe, Rebecca Toll and Eleanor Wallis achieved all A*/A grades.
Many of these girls have also completed the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, represented the College in sports, music and drama as well as participating in island-wide opportunities such as the Eisteddfod, World Cup Dance Championships and the Guernsey Choral Society.
Our students have laid firm foundations which give them choices for the future and we look forward to welcoming many students back in September for AS and A–level courses.
If there is anyone who is interested in making an application to join our Sixth Form please contact our Registrar Miss McClean on registrar@ladiescollege.ac.gg for further information and meetings next week.
