This week Form III braved the drizzly elements for their Forest School lesson. They were split into groups for different activities; lighting fires to make hot chocolate and building the tallest tower. The girls learnt how to safely lay a fire to boil a Kelly kettle. We mainly used willow and newspaper as everything else was damp! Group 1 were patient and fed the fire carefully. They were rewarded with their hot chocolate and marshmallows. They also worked collaboratively to build the tallest tower. By the time group 2 started their fire we were all a bit wet so Mr Glover gave us some assistance and made a great fire to warm the water. Thanks Mr Glover! Group 3 will have to wait until next time for their hot chocolate....
