JR trip to Castle Cornet

Junior Remove went on a trip to Castle Cornet today and were taken back in time to meet Admiral James Saumarez. He told us about the brave battle at Cobo, which first made him known to be a brave sailor. The girls enjoyed taking on the different roles of frigates, rocks and the French enemy. Everyone joined in to represent the great noise made when the cannon balls were fired!

After we re-enacted the story, Jo Dowding showed us some of the artefacts in the maritime museum. These included paintings, medals and many different swords. We learnt such a lot!
