A strong team of talented athletes retained the Liberation Day Road Relay Race Trophy for the ninth successive year. Two laps of the circular route are split into 6 sections. The lap starts at the Crown Pier, continues out to the Albert Memorial, back around to the seafront, past the Tourist Board, along to the roundabout and then back to the Crown Pier. The 6 sections were run by Katie Halliday, Olivia Oakley, Amelia Lees, Abi Tardivel, Elise Le Breton and Abi Galpin. The reserve was Sofia Mella. A strong Grammar School team took an early lead but calm heads and a patient approach, saw The Ladies’ College take the lead at the end of the 2nd circuit. A fantastic performance from a team that included an even mix of youth and experience. The future looks bright!
