A Busy Buzzing time!
Pre-Preparatory Week Two: 1st - 5th May
Pre-prep were lucky to have been invited by Vice Admiral and Lady Corder to visit the bee hives at Government House. On Friday we all set off very excitedly suited and booted and ready to learn about bees. We were welcomed by Lady Corder and Mr Gary. Mr Gary showed us all the equipment you needed to look after bees, and they told us all about the bees that lived in the hive. We looked at an empty hive and saw how the honey was collected. Then GP Ted had heard we were visiting and came to join us!! Just as we couldn't imagine any more excitement the wonderful ladies in the kitchen (Pippa and Sarah) made us some sweet tasty bee treats!! We had an absolutely fantastic time and can't thank the wonderful Corders and their staff enough for making us feel so welcome.
