Form III went back in time to 1857 and spent a day experiencing a day at school Victorian style!
Some found that they had to wear the dunce’s hat or signs to show they were unclean or rude. A couple even had the cane for daring to be rude to Mrs Morris. Drills, rote learning and reading passages from the Bible, as well as dictation from the Psalms and deportment, were all practised.
The girls also enjoyed a trip to the Folk Museum at Saumarez Park and the Victorian Walled garden.
Everyone enjoyed the day but felt exhausted by home time.
