A-level Success with 93% of Students Securing University Spots
The Ladies’ College is thrilled to announce another year of strong results from its A-level students. Nine out of ten grades were A*-C and 7 out of ten were A*-B. 93% of students were accepted to a chosen university with many others taking up exciting opportunities in the world of work.
The College is particularly pleased to note that, unlike in England where students are studying a narrowing range of subjects, students continue to thrive in a wide curriculum. They build not only a breadth of knowledge but also develop skills such as historical analysis, critical thinking and creativity, which are of growing importance in today’s complex environment.
Daniele Harford-Fox, Principal at The Ladies’ College, said: ‘We are incredibly proud of this year's A-level cohort and the fantastic results they have achieved.
‘The College’s mission is to empower young women to recognise their potential and have the confidence to pursue their chosen path. This year we have students choosing to study subjects from AI and Computer Science through to attending London drama schools.
‘We have students heading to some of the top-rated universities in the world and also straight into the world of work. The diversity of our girls and their interests is something we are particularly proud of.
‘Over this past academic year, I have witnessed first-hand the amount of time, dedication, enthusiasm and hard work the girls have put into their studies. That is something all of our students can be proud of, regardless of grades,
‘At The Ladies’ College we strive to empower our students not only with academic knowledge, but also with real-world expertise to prepare for their future. It has been excellent this year to see the students develop their voices through leadership, working on a wide range of real-world projects and our flourishing co-curricular provision.
‘In a fast-changing world, the girls approach every challenge and opportunity with resilience and strength. I am consistently impressed by their mature and considered outlooks.
‘I am proud of all that the A-level students have achieved this year, not only in their academic study, but also in the wide and profound skills they’ve developed for this fast-changing world. We look forward to following their future achievements, whatever path they choose to take next.’
