Girls in Remove, Lower Four and Upper Four broadly follow National Curriculum guidelines. Within each year group, from Remove to Upper Four, the following topics are covered:
Students in Lower Five and Upper Five follow the Edexcel IGCSE syllabus for English Language and Literature. Coursework is completed in Lower Five, in order to leave time for concentration on set texts in Upper Five.

The English Literature courses allow students to study a range of texts covering a variety of genres, including poetry, prose and drama of different time periods. Units are assessed through either a written examination, or coursework.
The Lower Sixth are studying the Edexcel Alevel English Literature two year linear course comprising
Component 1: Drama, two hours and 15 min examination (30%)
Component 2: Prose, one hour examination (20%)
Component 3: Poetry, two hours and 15 min examination (30%)
Component 4: Coursework: one extended comparative essay (20%)
