Girls in Junior Remove prepared an information-packed assembly in honour of Liberation Day.
Mrs Merifield asked the class to carry out research into the event and its history. The girls were keen to share what they had learnt and gave an excellent overview of what it would have been like to live through the Occupation - and why, 69 years later, islanders still celebrate on May 9th.
I enjoyed hearing what the girls had found out and seeing them all in their red, white and blue outfits. Thank you girls (and Mrs Merifield) for an informative and entertaining morning!
