On Wednesday 4th February I took 57 Melrose Girls to Government House to be presented with their certificates for taking part in the Wildlife Walk as part of the Born Free Foundation to help Simba and Bella the lions. The walk raised just over £5000 with Melrose raising £1,982.06, an amazing amount, well done girls.
The girls enjoyed the presentation, receiving their certificates, pens and photographs from Mrs Walker, as well as the lovely refreshments afterwards.
This September the walk will be on Sunday 20th September and we will be walking to raise money for Elsa II, a lion rescued from Sardinia.
