On Thursday afternoon, Ted Grambeau, a surf and travel photographer came to speak to us about his life, photography and how he got to where he is now. He has worked with the likes of Rip Curl, Speedo and many professional surfers including Kelly Slater. Ted has got a variety of work from waves to fashion to indigenous tribes and has mastered many techniques and discovered his own style. His current exhibition is called ‘Sea Level’ and focuses on rising sea level from his perspective. We all found him very inspiring and were fascinated by his wealth of knowledge, experience in photography and his modesty regarding his achievements. I personally found his work influential and exciting and will definitely be featuring in my own work, I was also intrigued to find out how he became so well-known within the photography industry and all the incredible places he has been to. We thoroughly enjoyed his talk and would like to thank him for coming into speak to us.
