Day

Activity

Monday

Focus: What does kindness mean to you?

Getting the community together to consider what kindness means to them.

Write down “kindness is…” and these will be collated and put on our social media.  A good introduction to the theme of MHAW and getting people thinking about the theme.

Tuesday

Focus: Be kind to yourself

We’ll be posting on social media and on our wellbeing page a list of activities for self-care and the benefitMaybe you would like to share your self-care tips?

Wednesday

Focus: Be kind to others

Challenge to write a gratitude letter (email) to someone who is supporting you.

It is not just the receiver who gets a ‘boost’ from the letter.  Evidence has shown that the sender will positively benefit too!

Thursday

Focus: Be kind to your mind

Guernsey Mind virtual session– supporting mental health during lockdown

To coincide with Mental Health Week (theme ‘Kindness)  and at a time when we’re all learning new ways of working and connecting, Jo Cottell of Guernsey Mind will  give a general introduction to mental wellbeing including how to recognise symptoms of poor mental health in ourselves and others.  She will also provide some practical tools and guidance for looking after family wellbeing, and where to get help in the Bailiwick.

Virtual yoga session with Alice Marshall
