On Tuesday 16th December, after a year of hard work and months of promoting and voting both online and Island-wide, The Sovereign Art Foundation Guernsey held its Annual STUDENT PRIZE Awards Ceremony in The Guille- Alles Library.
The Ladies` College Art Department are delighted to announce that for the fifth year running, we have been very successful in this prestigious event, of which the standard of talent across the island`s secondary schools was higher than ever this year.
As well as having almost a dozen Key Stage Three Merit Awards, two of our GCSE 2019 students were Winners in The SAFG Student Prize Competition.
Bella Lee scooped The Judges Prize and Jasmine Morgan very deservedly was awarded The Art for Guernsey Scholarship Award of a Residential Art Masterclass at the Royal Drawing School in London.
So we would like to say a massive CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners, whose incredible success is a testament not only to their hard work and amazing talent, but also to the dedication and motivation from the Art Department that helped these students to gain the confidence to produce such outstanding work.
