The IoD Leadership Shadowing final took place last night at the offices of KMPG and was another proud success for The Ladies' College Sixth Form students.
16 students from The Ladies' College were placed in various industries and businesses across the island during the Easter and Summer holidays. Upper Sixth students, Helena, Evie, Vicky and Carys were selected for the final, from the 45 students who took part from the other sixth form colleges in Guernsey.
All of the girls gave superb and engaging presentations to the panel of judges and audience and received special commendations and merits for their presentations.
The students commented that this experience gave them more knowledge and confidence for when they go into the workplace. They learnt what qualities are necessary to be a good leader, such as self-belief and adaptability and also found it a great opportunity to develop their public speaking skills.
All the students who took part in both the final and the initial stages of selection showed dedication, respect, and enthusiasm, and we are all so very proud of them all.
